Baume & Mercier Circa 1970s
This beautiful rectangular timepiece showcases a number of elegant design details. The dial is composed of two distinct sections that contrast beautifully: the center features a black lacquer, onyx-like finish, while the outer frame has a gold silk or linen texture—both offering exceptional visual appeal.
In addition to the striking dial, the case stands out for its size—measuring 25 x 33mm, it’s considerably larger than other Tank-style watches from the same era. The case is crafted from 18-carat yellow gold. Inside, you’ll find a reliable manually wound movement: the Baume & Mercier caliber BM775.

Case and Bracelet:
The stainless steel case is in awesome unpolished condition, you can notice the thick chamfers and the original vertical finishing on the side of the lugs. The caseback has deep engravings and the signed crown is also correct.
Dial & Hands:
The hands are in perfect condition showing no rust at all, the dial has a very interesting and rare subdial, similar to a chess board. The hour markers have a polished finishing. I can say this dial is in perfect original condition.
